Every walk I do is solo: one dog, or up to three dogs from the same household, never a mixed pack of strangers. That means the pace, the route and the amount of sniffing time all suit your dog specifically.
I’ve spent more than 25 years caring for dogs, and I’m DBS checked, fully insured, canine first aid trained and a registered member of NarpsUK. I’m also a Certified Third Degree Master Practitioner in the Usui system of Reiki, which shapes how I handle nervous and reactive dogs.
K9 Time covers South West Sheffield, from S11 and Totley up to S10, which sits right in the middle of that patch. Whether you’re near Lodge Moor, the shops on Crosspool’s Manchester Road, or the quiet streets around Ranmoor, you’ll be dealing with me directly, not a rota of staff.
My dog walking service is built on a single rule: your dog walks with me alone. Every decision about route, pace and duration follows from that.
Group dog walks split a walker’s attention across four, five or six dogs from different homes. A dog who reacts to another on the lead, or one who needs a slow start, gets whatever attention is left over.
Solo walking removes that problem entirely. If your dog wants twenty minutes sniffing a hedgerow in Fulwood, that’s fine. If they need a wide berth around another dog, I can give it without managing anyone else. Read more about how solo dog walking compares with group walks.
Nervous rescues, reactive dogs and senior dogs gain the most. A fourteen-year-old Labrador with stiff hips shouldn’t be keeping up with a young collie, and a dog recovering from surgery needs a route with no surprises.
Puppies past sixteen weeks also settle better one-to-one, because their early walks stay predictable and low-pressure. A calm solo walk is also ideal for dogs resting after visits to dog groomers.
For conscientious pet owners, dedicated pet care ensures that confident, sociable dogs still get plenty from a private walk, particularly a longer one with proper off-lead time in a safe spot.
Every walk includes:
Detailed GPS dog walk reports showing exactly where we went
A written walk report covering toileting, behaviour and anything I noticed
Photo updates and video reports through a free mobile app
Fresh water, paw checks and a towel-down in wet weather
You can book one or two walks a day, at 1 hour, 30 minutes, or a mixture of both across the week.
My rates are £26 for a one-hour solo walk and £20 for a 30-minute solo walk, with no extra charge for GPS tracking or app updates.
Duration
Solo dog walk
The hour suits dogs with energy to burn and dogs who take a while to warm up. It gives room for a proper woodland loop, off-lead time where it’s safe, and a slower return so your dog comes home settled instead of wired.
Thirty minutes works well as a midday break for a dog who’s alone during working hours, and for older dogs or those on restricted exercise. Plenty of my S10 clients pair a half hour on busy weekdays with a full hour on quieter days.
I walk up to three dogs from the same household together at no additional per-dog cost, because they already know each other and share a routine. Dogs from separate homes are never mixed. For a fuller breakdown, see my dog walking prices in Sheffield.
If those rates work for you, call me for a friendly, no-obligation chat about your dog’s routine, or book a free 30-minute meet and greet at your home in Fulwood, Crosspool or Ranmoor.
The main reason is consistency: the same person walks your dog every single time, and that person is me. Local pet owners value knowing their animals receive attentive, one-to-one pet care on every visit.
Marketplace platforms like Tailster or PetBacker hand your dog to whichever carer happens to be free. Payment protection and platform insurance cover the transaction, not the relationship your dog builds with their walker.
K9 Time is one person. You meet me, you book me, I turn up.
I’m DBS (police) checked, fully insured with pet injury insurance, and trained in canine first aid. My NarpsUK membership means I work to the standards of the National Association of Registered Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers.
That paperwork matters most when you’re handing over a key to your Ranmoor or Crosspool home.
As a Certified Third Degree Master Practitioner in the Usui system of Reiki, I use a quiet, unhurried approach with dogs who find the world overwhelming. Rescue dogs in particular tend to settle faster when nobody is rushing them.
Combined with over 25 years of dog care, that gives anxious dogs a genuinely low-arousal walk. More on the benefits of personalised dog walking.
After each walk you’ll get a GPS route map, a walk report, plus photo updates and video reports through the free app. You can see the exact path we took across Fulwood or Bingham Park while you’re still at your desk.
S10 is one of my core postcodes, and keeping my patch tight means I’m never rushing between bookings. Fulwood, Crosspool and Ranmoor sit within a few minutes of each other, which keeps my timings reliable.
Fulwood gives easy access to Whiteley Woods, the Porter Valley trails and the open ground towards Ringinglow, so an hour here can be a proper countryside walk. Dogs who need quiet routes benefit from the lanes above Fulwood village, where traffic and other dogs are sparse. Full details on my dog walking in Fulwood.
Crosspool sits high, with Lodge Moor and the Rivelin Valley close by for longer outings and shorter street loops for older dogs. Because I only ever walk one household at a time, a Crosspool dog who struggles with on-lead greetings can be routed around busy pavements entirely. See my Crosspool dog walking service.
Ranmoor dogs get the Endcliffe and Bingham Park route within easy reach, along with the quieter residential streets for gentle recovery walks. Positioned close to S11, Ranmoor also offers lovely connecting paths into the porter valley trails.
Same walker, same arrival window, same GPS report every time. More about dog walking in Ranmoor, or browse my local dog walks across South West Sheffield.
Everything starts with a free 30-minute meet and greet at your home, with no obligation to book anything afterwards.
I come to you, meet your dog on their own territory, and we talk through their habits: recall, lead behaviour, health, triggers and favourite places. You’ll see how I handle your dog before any money changes hands.
It’s also when we sort out keys, alarm codes and the app.
Most clients settle on one or two walks a day, choosing 1 hour, 30 minutes, or a mix across the week. A high-energy spaniel might have an hour on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; an older dog might do half an hour every weekday at the same time.
Alongside walking, I offer reliable pet care as a pet sitter for households across S10. That covers puppy visits for puppies up to 16 weeks (£14 per 15 minutes or £20 per half hour), in-home dog sitting with four daily visits at 7am, 11am, 3pm and 9pm, and cat sitting twice a day.

No. I exclusively offer solo, one-to-one walks and never mix dogs from different households. The only dogs walked together are up to three from the same home, who already live and play alongside each other.
